CSC India started its operation in India in 1991. CSC India is located in seven cities in India including Noida, Indore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore and Vadodara. With more than 20,000 employees including 3,000 in other geographies that support CSC India operations, It is one of the Top 10 IT services firms in India and also CSC's second largest operations globally.

In India, CSC offers services across industry segments, including applications development and product support, infrastructure and BPO services.

CSC in India houses the company’s first Office of Innovation outside the U.S.

History

The journey of CSC in India can be seen from the following timeline:

2009: CSC celebrates its 50th anniversary.

2008: - CSC acquires First Cconsulting Group (FCG) in an all-cash transaction for $13.00 per share, or approximately $365 million. This adds Healthcare capability and 600 employees to CSC India.
- CSC's India headcount is 19,000 employees, of which 16,000 are based in India.

2007: - CSC announces Project Accelerate - CSC's strategic Growth Plan. CSC India is a strategic and important component of Project Accelerate.
- CSC acquires Covansys Corp, will increase the CSC India's strength to 14400 employees and adding 550000 square feet (51,096.7 m²) of office space.

2006: CSC India completes 10 years of India operation. Currently employing around 8000 employees and it is the 5th fastest growing IT company in the country.

2005: CSC India resource base grows 100 percent to reach 4400. Three new facilities in Noida

2004: Two large global engagements in Application Services being serviced in India. Indore and Noida units assessed at PCMM Level 5 and PCMM Level 3 respectively.

2003: CSC in India
