Overview

Bweyogerere is situated on a hill that rises to a peak of 1200 metres (3,937 ft) above sea level. The higher reaches of the hill are occupied by upscale homes with manicured lawns and fenced yards. The middle reaches of the hill are occupied by middle class homes, apartment buildings and hotels. The lower reaches of the hill is where the lower social class find homes in tight-fitting 1 or 2 room rental units. Also on the lower reaches of the hill one finds shops, supermarkets, restaurants, and small-scale industries. In this same area, on the south-facing side of the hill, the Kampala-Jinja Highway
