  • 2005: Roger Jones is a Principal Research Scientist in the Climate Change Impacts and Risk Stream of CSIRO (Australia), specialised in Marine and Atmospheric Research. It was awarded in recognition of his innovations in research methods for assessing adaptation to climate change. Dr Jones has developed techniques for managing climate change risks at the local level which are now being widely used in Australia and overseas. He has been involved in a variety of national and international assessments concerning water, agriculture, biodiversity, economics, adaptation to climate change and the benefits of climate policy. He is a currently convening lead author in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
