Geography

Burr Oak is located at 41°15′23"N 86°24′55"W.
Burr Oak, Indiana is a quiet place located just North of the world famous
Culver Military Academy on State Road 17. A typical
rural farming neighborhood, the area has a Midwest country charm
and the residents are friendly folk.

A land mark is the old Overmyer homestead, situated East of the
pioneer cemetery burial grounds. The homestead is still a working farm.
At one time the Overmyer's raised several hundred head of cattle
and shipped cheese to Chicago. A small number of homes are scattered throughout township
