. They have been participating in this competition since its innaugral season in 2008. Each season Bundaberg has finished in bottom place on the ladder and went through winless in the 2009 season. Controversy surrounded the final game of the season for the Spirit as they were fighting for a victory. 1-all in the 89th minute and Bundaberg had a golden opportunity to snare a victory but it wasn't to be. They were ruled offside and then lost the match in injury time.
