Regarding the origin of the name, the Western Australian Department of Land Information states:
...the name originates from the railway station, established during the construction of the Midland Railway

 in the 1890s and named after an adjacent watercourse, Bull's Brook. The watercourse may have been named after Lt Henry Bull

Bullsbrook has a number of property development projects. Directly adjoining the Pearce Air Base is a new development soon to be released called Bullsbrook Commercial Centre. This development is being managed by Tuart Properties , local project managers also developing a number of projects in the region. Bullsbrook Commercial Centre will comprise 42 lots ranging in size from 1,000 m² to 3,000 m² capable of a range of commercial and light industrial uses.
