In 2002, Manekin, LLC, Clark Turner and H&S Properties Development Corporation purchased the golf course and surrounding land and properties from original owner, Ed Abel. The golf course has consistently won awards and hosted the McDonald’s LPGA Championship

Its most recent awards are:

▪2008-2009 - Five Star Rating - One of Only 24 Courses in North America from Golf Digest's "Best Places to Play" edition - August 2008. This is the fifth time Bulle Rock has received this award. This award was started in 2000 and is done every other year. Bulle Rock has received this award every time.

▪ Top 100 Courses You Can Play - Ranked # 30 - Golf Magazine September 2008. Also this magazine ranked Bulle Rock # 1 in the state of Maryland - Bulle Rock continues to remain very high on this list.

The Residences at Bulle Rock: In 2004, Manekin, LLC, Clark Turner and H&S Properties Development Corporation began developing a resort-style residential community around the golf course called, “The Residences at Bulle Rock.”

The gated community will comprise approximately 2,200 single-family, villa and condominium homes built by Clark Turner Signature Homes, D.R. Horton, NVHomes, Ryan Homes and Ryland Homes. All homes will feature first-floor owners’ suites, open floorplans, vaulted ceiling, garages and additional amenities for luxury living.

In 2007, the community opened its 37000 square feet (3,437.4 m²) Residents’ Club featuring indoor and outdoor pools, a cardiovascular health and wellness center, tennis and bocce courts, a ballroom and Resident’s Art Gallery featuring rotating exhibits by local artists.

Named 2007 Project of the Year by the Land Development Council (LDC) of the Home Builders Association of Maryland (HBAM), won a 2007 Best in American Living Silver Award from Professional Builder Magazine and the National Association of Home Builders Design Committee for Best Community Facility 151 units and over for its Residents’ Club.

In 2007, the community launched an annual Thanksgiving fundraising event, the Bulle Rock Turkey Trot, that, to date, has helped raise over $21,000 to purchase new emergency equipment for The City of Havre de Grace and the Susquehanna Hose Company.

In 2009, the community opened its first and only section of home sites directly on the first tee of the Bulle Rock Golf Course.

Historical Mansions: Two grand estates on the Bulle Rock property are eligible for the National Register.

Georgian: Originally named, “Mount Pleasant,” Bulle Rock’s Georgian mansion is designed in colonial revival style. Built on 3 acres (12,140.6 m²) of mature landscaping overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, the mansion offers over 5250 square feet (487.7 m²) of living space. Amenities include an original staircase, detailed millwork and a terraced patio.

The City of Havre de Grace’s Comprehensive Plan on Historic Preservation, describes this circa 1750 home as “the first truly great house in Harford County.”

The City of Havre de Grace annexed the property in July 1999. The Residences at Bulle Rock developers purchased it in 2002 and completed such renovations as upgrading the HVAC and electrical systems, installing safety features, painting and retouching some moldings. The facility was used as The Residences at Bulle Rock sales center from 2004 through 2007.

Victorian:Originally named, “Blenheim,” Bulle Rock’s Victorian mansion is perched on 1.3 acres (5,260.9 m²) of land. The Queen Anne-styled mansion offers over 4360 square feet (405.1 m²) of living space.

According to The Maryland Historical Trust, “Blenheim is a grand county estate dating back to the 18th century. It is significant for its architectural style and for its place in the development of Maryland architecture and its association with some of the leading figures in Harford County history.”

The City of Havre de Grace annexed the mansion in March 2002, the same year that mansion was featured in the Disney movie, Tuck Everlasting.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuck_Everlasting
