. The show occupied the Friday night timeslot of the now-defunct musical variety show "Vilma!". Two of its first cast members; Ogie Alcasid and Michael V. came from that show. GMA hired two talents from ace talent manager, Douglas Quijano, Wendell Ramos and Antonio Aquitania who is one of the first casts of Bubble Gang with Alcasid and Michael V. on their early days. During its first year, it was shown around 7:00 in the evening and carried a slogan "Bubble Gang: Just chew it!"

A New Studio

For the past 14 years, "Bubble Gang" taped their episodes from Filmex Studios located in Makati City. Aside from it, they also do out-of-town locations anywhere in the Philippines. The show has announced that they had their last taping at the Filmex Studios since they will be moving to the new GMA Network Annex Center building in EDSA.
