. Bronze plaques on the bridge refer to the Raven and Eagle clans of the Tlingit people. The bridge opened in 1965, replacing a nearby 1931 bridge that was dismantled upon the Brotherhood Bridge's completion (and which itself had replaced two previous bridges, opened in 1903 and 1919).
