has become blurred. More recently, land to the North of Broomfield and the Thanet Way has also succumbed to housing development. However, in spite of all this housing, there are only a few shops. There a small number of shops in Hawe Farm Way which includes a mini-supermarket/newsagents, two take aways, and a hairdressers. The only other shop is Broomfield Post Office in Margate Road.

Broomfield has two pubs, The Plough and The Huntsman & Horn. The latter overlooks Broomfield Pond.
