About the school
Broadford Secondary College offers a range of options to students to complete their senior school. They can choose a broad program that leaves a range of options open. Students in Years 11 and 12 can elect to complete the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL), Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), or a dual certificate that combines the two.
History
The school was founded in Broadford High School, then changing its name to Broadford Secondary College.
Achievements
In late 2010, Broadford Secondary College was awarded funding for the construction of the Central Ranges Trade Training Centre. The Minister for School Education, Peter Garrett, visited Broadford Secondary College to make the announcement. The school was chosen as one of 195 secondary schools under Round Three of the Trade Training Centres in Schools program. Broadford Secondary College has been designated as the lead school in the cluster and has been allocated approximately $11 million to provide three training hubs in the Central Ranges area.
