Snohomish County Council campaign

In December 2006, Brian Sullivan announced that he would be a candidate for the Snohomish County Council in November 2007. After finishing the legislative session in April 2007, Sullivan launched his campaign and defeated Democratic State Senator Jean Berkey

 in the August 2007 primary election.

In the November general election, Sullivan faced Republican Bill Cooper of Mukilteo and received 68% of the vote. Shortly after the election, he announced that he would resign from the State House of Representatives.
