. Brahamdagh Khan Bugti is the son of Nawabzada Rehan Khan Bugti and Fauzia Bugti. He is the brother of Zabad Bugti and Zaamur (the wife of Bakhtyaar Dombki). He's the grandson of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti. The Jamhoori Watan Party split and Brahamdagh Khan Bugti became the leader of his own faction, which he later renamed as Baloch Republican Party

people claim that Brahamdagh was the deserving successor as the Nawab of the Bugti
Tribe; he had been a claimant to the title until May 13, 2009 . Nawab Akbar Bugti wanted his grandson Brahamdagh to be the Nawab (successor) because when Rehan Khan Bugti (the beloved son of Nawab Akbar Bugti) died Brahamdagh Khan was only 9 and his grandfather Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti became his caretaker and it is said Brahamdagh did whatever his grandfather told him to do. Nawab Bugti is alleged to have told his tribe that he wished to make Brahamdagh the Nawab but after the death of Nawab Akbar Bugti and when Brahamdagh was exiled, however this is disputed and his cousin Mir Aali was the successor to their grandfather, the slain Nawab Akbar Bugti.
The US and Afghanistan have hosting him in Kabul for much of the past decade.However he has now to traveled to Switzerland, where he put an appeal for political asylum.
