Brady Education Foundation was incorporated in Wisconsin in 1956. The Foundation, which is linked to the founders of Brady Corporation, undertook a major grant-making initiative in 2003 after changing its name from W. H. Brady Foundation. The foundation has made large grants to a number of conservative organizations, including American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research, Independent Women's Forum

The foundations latest tax returns show assets of $13,092,719. The Foundation, a member of the North Carolina Network of Grantmakers, has in recent years switched its focus from conservative political causes to educational programs, and has just come off of a five year hiatus.
