Braddell Secondary School's philosophy is to recognise that every child has worth and should be given the opportunity to learn and develop his/her potential to the fullest. The school aims to move towards continuous improvement and teamwork.

The last graduating batch as Braddellites (which the students were commonly known as) was in 1999, after which the merged with Westlake Secondary Schhol to form Braddell-Westlake Secondary School
