So, they left Oakdale, but Molly spent the money too soon and they were caught and brought back to Oakdale. Camille bailed Brad out and then told Jack about Brad's big secret. On the night that their father died, Brad wasn't the one driving, their mother was. Jack refused to believe this, but when their mother Dolores came to town and he saw her alcoholic problem, he wondered it was all true. The same day, Dolores confessed what she had done and Jack showed respect towards his brother for confessing a crime he didn't do, just to protect their mother. Brad then asked Camille to marry him, but she refused.

He then started to flirt with Molly's cousin, Carly Tenney. What he loved about her was that she loved money just as much as he did. He was thrilled to hear that, if the plan worked, by the end of 1998, Carly would receive $50 000 000 from her sister. All she had to do was get married and give birth to a baby that was hers and her husband's. Carly was already pregnant from her husband John Dixon

Forced to work together, Brad was trying to make the best of it. He came up with a few pretty good ideas, but Katie was not interested. All she wanted was for Brad to quit the job, but he refused. Brad's ego was bruised when Vienna dumped him and got engaged to Henry Coleman

, accidentally Katie's ex-husband and best friend. When Henry caught Brad and Vienna in an intimate position, he canceled the wedding. Despite everyone assertion that nothing happened, Henry thought this was best. Brad tried to talk him out of this, but Henry refused to listen to him. Hurt by Henry's action, Vienna came on to Brad, who carefully rejected her because "you belong to Henry". Brad and Katie were softening towards each other and Brad discovered he was developing feelings for her. Another bruised ego came when he found out that Katie had started a relationship with his brother Jack. Things got more complicated when Jack and Brads ex-wife Carly came back to town, who wanted Jack back. She was shocked to not only see that Brad was back, but also to hear that Jack and Katie were a couple now. Together with Brad, who had his eyes set on Katie, they made up several plans to break the new couple up, but all plans either failed or backfired. At one point, Brad realized that it was useless. If Katie is happy when she is with Jack, then so it be. Carly couldn't believe what Brad said, but he was done sabotaging the couple.

While Brad was already thirty something, it was not until then when he finally grew up. He became a good friend to Katie as well to Carly, which caused a lot of trouble when Katie said he could not speak to Carly anymore. Carly however, confided in Brad that she had a brain tumor, and only several months to live. Brad's feelings were hurt when Jack chose Holden Snyder

to be his best man at his wedding with Katie, instead of Brad. And while everybody is busy with themselves and trying to keep all their secrets from each other, Brad is the one stuck in between and has to play the grownup for once.

Months past and Katie and Jack got married. However, soon after the wedding, Brad told Jack that Carly was dying. Jack left Katie at their house and rushed to the hospital, where Carly was being treated. Jack promised her that he would make her last months more comfortable. Brad noticed that Katie felt alone and abandoned, so he tried to cheer her up, in which he succeeded. Barely a month after the wedding, Katie had her marriage with Jack annulled and told him to do whatever he wants. Brad then discovered that Carly was misdiagnosed and that she wasn't dying after all. Carly forced him to keep his mouth shut, this way they would both get what they want. Brad doubted it and he was right. Katie discovered the truth and first, hated Brad for what he had done. She later realized that he wasn't the one to blame and forgave him. Brad spent more time with Katie and learned of her desperate wish of becoming a mother. In a crazy mood, he bought the house of Katie's dreams and offered to become the father of her children. The two slept together several times and even when Brad noticed Katie's jealousy when she saw Jack and Carly, he still stuck with her. Brad tries to convince himself that Katie is with him because she really wants to be with him, despite he knows inside that it's all because of her wish for children. Katie and Brad later end up getting married after Katie accepted a second proposal from Brad. Their wedding was rather ironic, as three of Katie's ex husbands were there; Mike

Brad and Katie wanted to get Parker to leave Liberty alone so they set her up on a blind date with their intern at WOAK Leo to get it through Parker's skull that she doesn't want him but their plan backfired when he (Leo) try a move on her (he tried to kiss her) but Parker came to the rescue and punched him in the jaw and they got him fired from his intern job.  be friends but when they were at a picnic and Leo gave Liberty a batch of brownies but the cooked with marijuana and it made her high and it made her go crazy and Parker left because she was being whacked and then she knocked out then Leo came and tried to rape her to get back at Parker and Liberty for getting him fired, then he called Brad about Liberty and Brad thought Parker tried to rape her so he wanted him arrested but when Liberty got her memory back she said it was Leo so Brad chased down Leo and he wanted to talk then he threw him in the pond at the reservoir but he didn't come up he dove in and did CPR then he called 9-1-1 and now Leo's in a coma.

In early 2009, Katie and Brad decided to have a child of their own, though after about a month of trying with now success Katie was informed getting pregnant would be dangerous so soon after donating her bone marrow. Brad was adamant that they would wait, being more concerned with Katie's welfare than starting a family. However, Katie went behind his back and sought fertility treatments. She successfully got pregnant, but the baby began growing in her fallopian tube and the tube eventually ruptured, causing severe scar tissue on her other tube. After telling Vienna she would not be able to have a baby, Vienna offered to be Katie's surrogate, much to Henry's dismay. When Brad and Katie began looking into in vitro fertilization, Katie discovered her eggs were not viable. After telling Vienna they would try to find an egg donor, Vienna stood by her decision to be the surrogate mother and offered her eggs. And she suggested Brad impregnate her personally.
She was soon impregnated by Brad's sperm and it was revealed not much later that she was pregnant. When her very first sonogram came up, Vienna was so excited that she forgot to inform Brad and Katie about this and went to the hospital with Henry. She the remembered the happy couple and called the to come over. Vienna end up seeing the sonogram with Henry, and the doctor informed her that she was no longer pregnant.

Vienna was shocked to hear this, and didn't have the guts to tell Brad and Katie that their baby was gone, so instead she told them the baby was doing fine. Afterwards, she was comforted by Henry and they slept together. Days later, Vienna wasn't feeling well and had another shock when she discovered that she WAS pregnant – again, and with Henry's baby this time. Henry tells Vienna that Katie and Brad are meeting with Mr. Quick and the birth mother today, and thinks everything will be good for them. Katie tells Brad that the lawyer was disbarred and was brought up on charges. Vienna tries to reach out to Katie but she doesn't want to hear it and Vienna then trips and falls. Vienna asks Katie if she thinks if there's anything wrong with the baby, while Brad is trying to find Henry. The doctor tells Vienna she miscarried.

He and Katie continue to try to conceive, until Katie finally gets pregnant with a baby boy. After Henry gets involved with mobsters, Katie ends up getting kidnapped by the Ciccones' "Uncle" Ralphie. She gives birth to their son while locked up in a warehouse while Brad, Henry and Jack formulate a plan to save her. Brad gets to the warehouse first and also gets captured. Jack arrives and a shootout between himself and Ralph ensues. However, Jack didn't realize Ralph was using Brad as a human shield and ends up shooting his brother in the chest. Brad, Katie and the baby, who was born premature, were all rushed to the hospital. Brad was taken to surgery and his critical condition was kept from his wife, who was still weak after their ordeal. Eventually, Katie begins to get restless alone in her hospital room and goes into a room across the hall, where she finds Brad unconscious in a hospital bed. During a conversation with Katie in the hospital room, Brad wakes up. After about to reveal what he was going to name his and Katie's son, Brad turns for the worse and dies at 6:30 pm. Katie rushes to bring the baby to him, but she was too late. She goes into his room and puts the baby in his arms, then holds them both as Jack and Henry watch Katie say goodbye. At Brad's funeral, Katie named the son Jacob Bradley Snyder after Jack and Brad. Brad is still seen by Henry and continues to watch over Katie and Jacob as a ghost, though he did use Henry's body once to hold his son. On December 24, 2009 (Christmas Eve), Brad meets Santa Claus

and makes an agreement with him, that he could return to his body until midnight so Brad can visit Henry, Liberty, Janet, Jack, Katie and Jacob one more time. Right after one final kiss from Katie and his unfinished business resolved, Brad can finally rest in peace and says goodbye to his wife for the last time. Before leaving Brad tells Liberty to go to college, tells Janet that he loves her, encourages Jack to go and be with his family for Christmas, and tells Katie to go on with her life and fall in love again with someone else, with his blessing.
