2008: Beginnings

In June 2008 Pollard announced he had formed a new recording project, Boston Spaceships. Pollard's confidence in the band led to a seventeen date fall tour that began in late September. For the band's sole set of live dates Pollard, Moen and Slusarenko were joined by longtime Pollard collaborators Tommy Keene
