was announced on 4 September 2007, during which time it was also announced that a franchise had been awarded to Boston. The Boston Breakers franchise were officially unveiled on 26 October 2008, but the formation and creation of the club was going much before that. As early as May 2007, Joe Cummings was named as the President and General Manager. Shortly afterwards in September 2007, Tony DiCicco
was named as the club's first Head Coach.
