Boris Schreiber was a French writer. His autobiography Un silence d'environ une demi-heure, won the Prix Renaudot
in 1996.
He studied at the Ecole Alsace in Paris in 1936.
He occasionally taught French for a living, while devoting himself to writing.

Life
Born into a Jewish family of Russian exile after the Russian Revolution, he spent a precarious childhood in Belgium and France, where his parents lived.He studied at the Ecole Alsace in Paris in 1936.
He occasionally taught French for a living, while devoting himself to writing.
