. Pirin took first place and were promoted to the B PFG. After the union of the two clubs from Blagoevgrad in December 2008, Galchev joined the part of the club, which plays in the top division. He quickly became part of the main team and until the end of 2008–09 season earned 15 appearances playing in the A PFG, scored one goal. In July 2009, Galchev was given the captain's armband.

CSKA Sofia

On January 12, 2010, CSKA Sofia signed Galchev to a three-a-half-year deal for a €120,000. He was given the number 18 shirt.
