Bona AB is major wood floor installation and maintenance systems company based in Sweden.
Nowadays, is a major worldwide manufacturer, with presence in 23 countries and distribution agreements in more than 50, focused on solutions for the installation and maintenance of wood floor, parquet, hard wood, etc. Its has production facilities in Sweden, Germany, USA and China, with over 500 employees, and gross sales over 120 million euros.
, as Bona AB. At the beginning, in 1894, it was a small groceries shop, specialized on coffee. Wilhelm Edner, a restless mind, was looking into ways of preserving his shop´s wood floor, and introduced to the Swedish market, wax for hardwood and parquet, as an innovate way to preserve wood floors. Due the success, after 5 years, introduced more wax related products, such polishers, appliers, etc.
In 1943, manufactured its own finish for wood floors, 1979, it was the first to introduce in the market, water based finish, for hardwood floors and parquetry.
In 1953, built its first subsidiary out of Sweden, in Germany, in 1981, introduced the UV finish.
