Reception

Bolo Raam received bad reviews from all of the mainstream print media. "Mumbai Mirror" gave it only one star warning readers to

Stay away if you want to keep your sanity intact.http://www.mumbaimirror.com/article/30/2010010220100102020405802cb01003e/Bolo-Kyun.html

"Mid Day" gave it only half star saying

Unheard-of lead actors, Padmini choosing to make a 'comeback' as a corpse, way too many flashbacks and Om Puri playing a cop for the umpteenth time.http://www.mid-day.com/entertainment/2010/jan/020110-Bolo-Raam-Movie-Review.htm

ScreenIndia called it a "Dull whodunit", saying:

The idea of a thriller centering around an intense affection between adult son and single mother (who have no one but each other) and then the latter’s murder was loaded with potential for a neat psychological thriller, but the script and direction simply fail to do justice to the premise.http://www.screenindia.com/news/bolo-raam-hindi/564491/

The only good review came from Taran Adarsh. He called it a "compelling flick",http://www.sify.com/movies/hollywood/review.php?id=14925519&ctid=5&cid=2426 but complains that the final resolution of the mystery is sloppy and does not follow the lead up from the rest of the film.

But "Sify" in other review said

Avoid Bolo Raam.http://www.sify.com/movies/bollywood/review.php?id=14925556&ctid=5&cid=2426
