The Bokhara is one of the branches of the Balonne River
that flows (from the Balonne) to the Barwon River
- the more westerly branch of that split. The other branch it splits from is called the Narran River
- the Culgoa River
had first split to the west from the Balonne further upstream.
The Birrie River
branches from the Bokhara river to course south-west to join the Culgoa river just below Collerina.
