, Bodeli had a population of 10,494. Males constituted 52% of the population and females 48%. Bodeli had an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with a male literacy rate of 78% and female literacy rate of 65%. 11% of the population were under 6 years of age.

Bodeli is situated on the river Orsang. It enjoys a variety of natural scenery. The town has a number of industries including many big and small cement pipe factories, cotton mills and a sugar factory. There is a Baroda Dairy plant near Bodeli at Alhadpura. The Sardar Sarovar dam is around 100 km far away from Bodeli. Pavagarh- Champaner is around 40 km from Bodeli. There is also BAPS Swaminarayan temple is built recently in year 2011.
