In 2004, Adams was elected statewide by Republicans as a Delegate to the Republican National Convention, and served as the GOP's nominee for State Treasurer.

Over the course of more than a decade, Adams has been involved in Republican politics, beginning his career during the "Republican Revolution" of 1994.

He served during the "First 100 Days" of the historic 104th Congress as a Press Assistant to Congressman J.C. Watts, Jr.

A supporter of the Right-to-Life, Adams served as Communications Director and a Senior Aide to Republican Presidential Candidate Patrick J. Buchanan in 2000. A loyal Republican, Adams resigned his position when Buchanan left the GOP for the Reform Party.

Subsequently, Adams appeared on numerous national television programs as a Republican spokesperson --- including Hardball with Chris Mathews and FOX Hannity & Colmes --- encouraging Republicans to stay within the party and to reject Buchanan's third party bid.

Later in the 2000 Republican Primaries, Adams worked for the Republican Party of Delaware. A week after Sen. John McCain's victory in New Hampshire, Delaware was a "make or break" contest for both the Forbes and Bush Campaigns.

In the closing days of the 2000 Presidential Election, Adams worked for the Republican National Committee as a member of the Communications Team under Chairman Jim Nicholson.

Throughout the Bush Presidency, Adams served as a strategist and in senior communication roles with the conservative advocacy group, the American Legislative Exchange Council, the nation's largest, bipartisan membership organization of state legislators, and later with the Alliance for Marriage Foundation. Bob Adams is Executive Director of the conservative advocacy group, the League of American Voters. Adams is the sole member of the League's staff identified on its website.

He and his wife Allison, the niece of former U.S. Ambassador to Switzerland Faith Ryan Whittlesey, have four children.
