. Founded in 1958, Blach was named after Georgina P. Blach in a dedication ceremony on December 11 of the same year. (Georgina P. Blach was a former school board member).

Blach school provides five required classes (math, English, history, P.E./Health, and science) and two electives of the student's choice. The electives could be year long, or semester long. Some electives currently offered are Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Spanish, and French (which are all year-long) or semester-long Engineering, Drama, and others.
