. The B.P.S is an oasis which unfolds its treasure to a fabulous world of knowledge. B.P.S has all the infrastructure and facilities that makes a full fledged Public School and these are being maintained and updated on regular basis. We have four computer laboratories, a vibrant music department and art and craft center and ‘Panchwati’ ‘Yoga Centre’, ’Saraswati Temple’, ’Shiv Ganga’ for multifarious creativity. Unparalleled sports facilities- the mid terms trips, treks, mountaineering to develop love for outdoor life etc. Academic growth of boys is our mantra and guiding principle. The list is endless.

It is important to prepare the children before sending them to a Boarding School. The child should be convinced about the usefulness of Boarding School Life. In my opinion a residential School has many advantages. It inculcates in children an attitude of ‘Caring and Sharing’ and a sense of independent living, decision making and value for money. It teaches the child the art of self learning and self preparation for the examinations. The child learns to live a spartan life which makes him tough enabling him to progress without being a slave to materialistic comforts. Living together with other children creates a feeling of brotherhood and helps to develop leadership qualities. The hectic schedule involving both academics and co-curricular activities keeps him preoccupied in a constructive manner. In fact at times, it is felt that there is so much to do, with no time at all. Thus it teaches him Time Management early in life.
BPS is committed to producing gentlemen who can be of service and value to society and shape as leaders of our great nation and who can be the true epitome of our motto Shradha, Gyan and Karam. It has 15 beautifully designed hostels catering to the needs of the 1000 pupils coming from different cultural backgrounds. The school has three sprawling green campuses with vast play grounds and courts.

Care for the Individual Boy

In a boarding school it is possible to place a greater emphasis on care for the individual than can normally be feasible within the limited time available to a day school. Every boy is helped to develop to his potential. Work is monitored carefully and extra help is given where necessary. The many activities on offer, often in the evenings and at weekends, enable all boys to develop interests and skills. We do not aim to produce a type but rather a well rounded individual who shows both a determination to do things well together with courtesy and consideration for others.
There is a great range of activities available to occupy boys in the evenings and weekends so no boy should ever be bored. Many of the School's facilities are open during these times, including the Sports Centre, Art Centre, Library and Computing suites. In addition there are organised outings every weekend and expeditions and field trips every term.
School aims to teach pupils self-discipline. Standards of behaviour are expected to be high. Those who misbehave may lose some freedoms or privileges for a period of time. But the emphasis within the School is on encouragement. We expect our boys to do well and we take every opportunity to congratulate and reward them. High expectations and a culture of praise are, we believe, central to the success of our pupils.
The School has a carefully planned personal, social and health education programme called The Way of Life course. Our pupils attend this course together with girls from other local independent schools.

MEDICAL CARE

An M.B.B.S. qualified doctor visits the school every day to look after the health and hygiene of the students. Students who require further care and treatment are referred to the Birla Sarvajanik Hospital, or to the Eye Hospital for eye ailments. Routine medical checkups of all students is carried out every year. Medical leave is only granted if the school authorities in consultation with RMO feel that the requisite facilities are not available at Pilani. Parents of their own cannot come and seek the medical leave of the child studying in the school.

INFIRMARY

There are three infirmaries, one each for Junior Section, Middle and Senior Section, and a separate Isolation ward where children who suffer from any infectious disease are quarantined. The school maintains three well-equipped dispensaries under the charge of a Medical Officer and four full time resident-trained nurses.

The Medical Officer carries out medical checkup PERIODICALLY. Vaccination and Inoculation for cholera and typhoid are compulsorily administered to all students unless they produce a certificate from a qualified and registered medical practitioner that they have already been inoculated /vaccinated. Parents/ guardians seeking admission for their sons/wards will have to fill up a performa mentioning any allergy or anything particular relating to their ward's health for the information of the school medical officer. All students are medically checked up at regular intervals. Their weight and height are recorded at the beginning and at the end of each term. In case of serious illness, the parents are kept informed about their daily progress.

HORSE RIDING SCHOOL

The school maintains a stable with 20 horses and has a well qualified riding instructor and syces. Riding is compulsory for all students from classes VI to XII.
