Trained as an Engineer, Bill Parfitt joined Goodyear in 1972 being responsible for setting up & running Fast Fit Operations.

He progressively had a career as director running the following multibrand dealer groups (Dorada, Sears, Lex, Henlys).

He later joined GM as Fleet Sales Director in 1998 & subsequently held the positions of Sales & Marketing Director, Managing Director, Regional Director responsible for Saab, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Corvette, Hummer & Opel Ireland, Fleet & LCV Sales for General Motors Europe.

Parfitt currently is Chairman & CEO for GMUK which includes Sales & Marketing, Proving Ground & Test Centre at Millbrook and manufacturing facilities at Luton & Ellesmere Port.

He was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2011 Birthday Honours
