The band appears in shots that appear retro and possibly tribute early music videos. In one scene Scott Weiland throws one dollar bills towards the camera. One segment features the band in a Brady Bunch-like shot, where each member's face is shown in a box of squares.
The band stated in interviews that the video, which was produced cheaply and shot on videotape, was inspired in part by the video for Toni Basil's
song "Mickey
". Both videos share plain white backdrops and are mostly performance videos.

DVD, footage of the band recording "Big Bang Baby" with producer Brendan O'Brien
can be seen just before the actual music video starts. The footage shows Eric Kretz
recording the song's drums outside while the rest of the band rehearses the song inside with O'Brien.
