Its services included assisting researchers and libraries with locating materials held in libraries outside their local community, card catalog creation, consulting, product and service discounts, and training in computer systems. BCR also offered OCLC products and services. Membership in BCR was funded by state library agencies, who paid for statewide membership on behalf of all libraries in their states. BCR (Bibliographical Center for Research) was a 501(c)3 nonprofit headquartered in Aurora, Colorado
