Satguru Brahm Sagar Ji Maharaj Bhuriwale: (1862–1947) was an Indian religious figure. He was born in Rampur Dham in the Rupnagar
district of Punjab.
He was the founder of Maharaj Bhuriwale(Garib Dassi
) sampraday. He was called by the name of "Bhuriwale{भुरीवाले}" Maharaj because he used to wear a black colored shawl that is called as "Bhuri" in Punjab. It too has a very historic story," Bhuri ko Bhukhar /भूरी को बुखार".
He was a preacher of Acharya Shri Garib Das
ji Maharaj's Banni from Chhudani,Haryana. He preached the divine baani in the states of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Haryana. He taugh the rural people of Punjab to live a life of sacrement and honesty.
In the Bhuriwale sampraday, there comes "Sandhia Aarti" taken from Guru Garib Das
Granth which is prayed by all the devotees on every evening. Maharaj Bhuriwale ji had a great devotion towards the birthplace of their guru Acharya Shri Garib Das
ji Maharaj, that is shri Chhudani Dham.
A magnificent temple was made under his guidance, where clothes and other vestments of Baba Garib Das ji are displayed in open showcases for the Darshans of followers in Chhudani Mandir and First Handwritten manuscript is place and well naintained by the present head of Garid Das Sect Mahant Dayasagarji(Meharban Sahib).
Maharaj Lal dasji Bhurwiale was the then anoint of Maharaj Bhuriwale.Maharaj Bhuriwale called him their LAL i.e. son. After his demise(Jyoti Jot Samaana)comes Maharaj Brahma Nand ji Bhuriwale (formerly known as Gauanwale). He too, along with his preaching gifted the followers by opening schools and many degree colleges under the banner of his gurus,especially for the girls in the rural areas like district Hoshiarpur, S.B.S Nagar, Ludhiana ,Ropar. He basically work for betterment of "cows and girls" that's why he had open many gauwshalls and colleges. Most of all give shelters to the unprovided cows. Nowadays the whole things are managed by The registered Turst namely "Maharaj Bhuriwale(Garibdassi) Education trust which is registered in 1984.
Now the present Gaddinasheen (spiritual leader) is Vedhant Acharya Swami Chetna Nand ji Bhuriwale who has great vision and also devoted his life for the betterment of our society.he is very much beloved by his followers and is known as "Kashiwale"
