Bhadiaris a clan or tribe
of Jats, found in both Punjab (India)
and Punjab (Pakistan)
. They are also found among the South Asian immigrant communities in the US, and in other parts of the world. Like many other Jat gotras, Bhadiars claim to belong historically to Suryavanshi lineage of Rajputs And is descended from its eponym. Atú, 7th in descent from him, came from Ajúdhia.

, most of the Sikh
families belonging to this gotra of Jats originate from District Amritsar and the villages called Rangpur, Panwal, Mehatpur (previously District Sialkot, Pakistan).
After the partisan in 1947, most of the Sikh families settled in and around Districts Gurdaspur and Hoshiarpur.
Most Bhadiars in India are Sikhs, though there are some Hindus. Bhadiars in Pakistan are mostly Muslims.
