Bernard Salt is an author, business advisor and media commentator. He rose to prominence with the release of his first book The Big Shift (2001) in which he predicted a rise in the demand for coastal lifestyle property underpinned by the imminent retirement of the baby boom generation. From 2003 onwards he has written a weekly column in The Australian
newspaper in which he tackles a broad range of social, cultural and generational issues. He is a Partner with the advisory firm KPMG
