Career

Roizman is currently Joseph Regenstein Distinguished Service Professor of Virology in the Departments of Molecular Genetics & Cell Biology. He is also a faculty member in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, and in Microbiology.

A virologist, he is considered to be the world's foremost expert on the herpes simplex virus.
