, on the hoek Türkstraße of Berliner Straße - it was originally at the end of Charlottenstrasse, but when the city wall was moved in 1752 the gate was rebuilt on its final site by Jan Bouman

Jan Bouman was a Dutch architect, mainly notable for his work as designer and general contractor on the Dutch Quarter in Potsdam. He designed its canals and squares along with Potsdam's Berlin Gate and town hall, the latter influenced by the Royal Palace of Amsterdam....

. It was badly damaged by bombing in 1945 and only one wing remains.
