Benign cephalic histiocytosis (also known as "Histiocytosis with intracytoplasmic worm-like bodies") is a rare cutaneous condition affecting boys and girls equally, characterized by skin lesions that initially present on the head in all cases, often the cheeks, eyelids, forehead, and ears.
