Georg Belwe

Georg Belwe was a German type designer, graphic artist and teacher. Belwe studied and later taught at the Königliches Kunstgewerbemuseum in his native Berlin. In 1900, with Fritz Helmut Ehmcke and Friedrich Wilhelm Kleukens, he founded Steglitzer Werkstadt, a private press...

 in 1907. The type has Old Style quialities, but short ascenders and very short descenders.
