Maha Kavi P.Kunhiraman Nair Memorial High School is situated in Bellikoth. Part of this school was owned by P. Krishnan Nair who gave it to Government sometime in 1970s.
it is the 2nd cultural capital of Kasaragod district.
Vellikoth contributed many entrepreneurs to the world. The first Malayalam Radio station in Kingdom of Bharain is owned by Mr,P Unnikrishnan, he is from vellikoth.
