The Belgian Synesthesia Association (BSA) is an online portal for synesthesia
and art that attempts to present relevant sources on the connection between mind and art, theory, experiments and research on the future of the senses. The mission of the Association consists of exploring the multisensory interactions of synesthesia, to connect synesthetes and their synesthetic experience with interested non-synesthetes worldwide, and to promote study, research and understanding of synesthesia in educational, social, cultural and artistic contexts.
The BSA was founded in 1995 by Dr. Hugo Heyrman, a painter, synesthesia researcher and Professor at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Antwerp, Belgium
