plan. Notable buildings include the Court House (1787, now Bedford Historical Society), Historical Hall (1806), Library (1807), School House (1829), Post Office (ca. 1838), Presbyterian Church (1872), and "General Store" (1838). The buildings include notable examples of the Greek Revival
and Gothic Revival
styles.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places
in 1973.
