Music video

The single's music video was posted by the band on MySpace on March 5, 2007. The video was filmed partially in Yuba City, CA. It begins with the members of the band (as co-workers in an office) sitting at their desks working. Lead guitarist Jack Matranga tries to plug in his lamp into an electrical outlet, which results in the outlet exploding. This causes a supervisory fire sprinkler to go off, and the alarm's sprinkler rains on the entire office. Everyone shields themselves of the indoor rain and runs out of the office except for singer, Jonathan Temkin, who remains at his desk and sings the first chorus of the song under the fire alarm's artificial rain. However, when he begins the first verse of the song, the spinkler system suddenly starts to go backwards and all of the water is sucked upwards back into the sprinkler, making the room completely dry again. The rest of the video features the band rocking out to the song in several random locations, including an open field, and also back in the office, where there is now paperwork flying all over the place because of the destruction they've caused. The video shows the band causing a lot of destruction, such as Temkin taking a beverage out of a stranger's hands and throwing it to the ground, and the entire band destroying the office. This all goes back to the title and theme of the song "Becoming a Monster".
