Zeller was the hitting coach/third base coach for the Southern Illinois Miners of the Frontier League, an Independent baseball league. Zeller began working for the Miners in their inaugural 2007 season.

Before coming to the Miners, Zeller spent two seasons with the Sioux Falls Canaries as a bench coach.
