The team also invests in infrastructure projects sponsored predominantly under the United Kingdom Government's Private Finance Initiative and Public Private Partnerships (PPP). From the launch of the first infrastructure fund in 1997, Barclays Private Equity has raised in excess of £1 billion across five dedicated infrastructure funds.

Barclays Private Equity was voted the “Fund of the Year” in 2006 by the Private Equity Awards.
