. The club was established to improve and encourage fencing in Bangor University
. It acts both as an athletic foundation but also as a social
one, running various events. The club is an active participant in various fencing competitions and has established a good reputation. Currently the fencing club runs two teams, a men's teams which competes in the BUCS North 2A division and a women's team which compete in the BUCS
Northern 1A division.
The club are currently sponsored by a local pub The Skerries who share an excellent relationship.
