Badnera is a railway junction on Bhusawal
-Badnera railway line of Central Railway. The railway line was constructed during 1867 and was made a double tract in 1920.
Situated on the Mumbai Howrah railway line, this junction offers connectivity to Amravati.
Badnera has a population of about 25,000 or so.
Auto-rickshaws and buses connect it to the main city of Amravati.
Badnera has two parts named as Juni Basti(Old Town) and nai Basti(New Town). Juni Basti is famous for the Dargah of Hazrat Almas Shah Urf Kamli Wale Bawa. Every year Urs is celebrated in the month of April and May.Badnera is also known for Hindu Muslim Unity. People belonging to both the communities live here peacefully and co-operate one another. Mohd. Nizamuddin Saheb was a well known Muslim leader here. His son, Prof. Dr. Mohd. Muniruddin Taji was also loved and liked by the people of this town. Now his son Advocate B. S. Taji practises as a lawyer and he is also social worker and looks after two trusts i.e.Cashier of Jama Masjid Trust and Secretary of Anjuman Himayatul Islam Trust, and he has also been Vice - President of Amravati District Bar Association, Amravati.
