. Although he has not officially made his retirement from the national team, and being still available for international duty, he has not been frequently featured on the national team. The last time he made an appearance was in a qualification match for the 2010 World Cup against Bahrain, due to Ali Al-Habsi being absent for preparations for his club. Previously he has represented Oman quite often.
