Bad Pony Media Ltd/Bad Pony Television is a Scotland based independent Production Company based in the G1 area of Glasgow.
The company, headed by Executive Producer's Michelle Martin
and Frank McGowan
specialise in their own creative content for broadcast television and online.
Projects currently in development include series drama Ninety Eight Percent
, magazine style make-over and dating show All Dolled Up, and feature film Evening of the Dead.
series starring Emma Ashby as lesbian gangster Casey Spencer. The pilot also starred Vivien Louise Taylor, Hannah Tiffin and Jordan McCurrach all who reprise their roles as Jenny, Chelsea and Mark in the series which is currently being produced. Ashby was unable to reprise her role due to commitments to another project.
The company has grown significantly since its conception, and Producer's have received notable kudos, industry praise and support for their efforts in championing new Scottish talent both in front of and behind the camera. B
1st Assistant Director/Producer Maureen Somerville was recently nominated for Television Freelancer of the Year, in the inaugural Production Base awards 2010.
In May 2010, Bad Pony Media
withdrew their short film The Young Person's Guide to Becoming a Film-maker from the worldwide 48 Hour Film Festival
awards and festival (the company were award winners two years in a row 2008 - 2010) to develop the concept and characters as a series for Bad Pony TV. The decision was supported by the judges of 48 HFP, and the film was re-packaged as a crude television pilot
. The pilot stars Mandy Edgar, Kim Hughes, Jen Dempster, Alex McPhail, Joe Thompson
and Daniel Campbell
, and the series is currently in development for 2012. The series is the creation of Scottish writer Michelle Martin
, who is also the creator of the Ninety Eight Percent
series.
In October 2010, Bad Pony Media's Executive Producer's announced development of the Bad Pony TV platform, which is currently being developed by the Scottish Centre for Enabling Technologies

Producers also announced development of over 30+ new shows across all genres for the platform 2010-2012, including the long awaited full series of Ninety Eight Percent
(9eps, 1hour). Other genres of shows being produced for Bad Pony TV include; magazine shows, lifestyle and living, documentary, shorts, music show and comedy.
