Singapore Police Service Good Service Medal
The Singapore Police Service Good Service Medal is awarded to an officer in recognition of his good, efficient and faithful service in the Singapore Police Service. An officer may receive the Medal if he has at least 5 years of qualifying service in the Singapore Police Service.Singapore Police Service Long Service and Good Conduct Medal

Medal Description: The Medal consist of an 8-armed star shape medal in 925 sterling silver and measures 42 mm in diameter and 3 mm in thickness. The obverse side of the Medal bears the Singapore Coat-of-Arms. The reverse side of the Medal bears the Singapore Civil Defence Crest within a laurel wreath and with a scroll underneath the laurel wreath. The Crest on the reverse side of the Medal is encircled by the inscription, ”LONG SERVICE AND GOOD CONDUCT”
Eligibility : The Medal is awarded to any SCDF officer in recognition of his long and exemplary service and good conduct for a continuous period of 12 years. A Clasp is awarded to a recipient of the Medal on his completion of 20 years of qualifying service and a second Clasp on his completion of 30 years of qualifying service.
The SCDF Overseas Service Medal
Instituted: 1993, Amended: 2004 & 2005Medal Description: The Medal consist of a triangle upon a circular medal in 925 sterling silver. The circular medal measures 34 mm in diameter and 3 mm in thickness. The triangle on the circular medal measures 36 mm in diameter. The obverse side of the Medal bears the Singapore Coat-of-Arms encircled by the inscription” CIVIL DEFENCE FORCE” above the Coat-of-Arms and “ SINGAPORE” beneath the Coat-of-Arms. The reverse side of the Medal bears a map of Southeast Asia and Australia with the inscription” OVERSEAS SERVICE”.
Eligibility: The Medal is awarded to member of the SCDF in recognition of the service which was rendered outside Singapore. For the first overseas missoion, the officer will be presented with the Medal. For subsequent missions, he will be presented with one laureated bar for each overseas mission, with the country and the year of the mission served inscribed on it.
The SCDF Good Service Medal

The obverse side of the Medal bears the Singapore Coat-of-Arms encircled by the inscriptions” CIVIL DEFENCE FORCE” above the Coat-of-Arms and “SINGAPORE” beneath the Coat-of-Arms. The reverse side of the Medal bears the inscription “GOOD SERVICE” encircled by a laurel wreath.
Eligibility: The Medal is awarded to any SCDF officer in recognition of his good, efficient and faithful service in the SCDF for s continuous period of 5 years.
Darjah Utama Bakti Cemerlang (Tentera)/The Distinguished Service Order (DSO)
Instituted: 1981Awarded to any member of the SAF for exceptionally distinguished service or extraordinary merit in military or staff work. In special circumstances, the command or staff work may be awarded to any person for his outstanding service, the promotion of good relations, between SAF and the military force of his country.
Pingat Gagah Perkasa (Tentera)/The Conspicuous Gallantry Medal (Military)
Instituted: 1981Awarded to any member of the SAF for a heroic act of courage and sacrifice or for outstanding conduct and performance and selfless devotion over and above the call of duty.
Pingat Jasa Perwira (Tentera)/The Singapore Armed Forces Medal for Distinguished Act (Military)
Instituted: 1997Awarded to any person who has performed an act or a series of acts of courage in hazardous circumstances without regard for personal safety.
The Singapore Armed Forces Overseas Service Medal
Instituted: 1973, Amended: 1999Awarded to any person who, whilst being a member of the SAF, engaged in service outside Singapore after August 9, 1970. Different medal ribbons were used to differentiate between operational and non-operational service. This medal was amended and redesigned in 1998 and may be awarded for service outside Singapore with no distinction between operational and non-operational service.
The Singapore Armed Forces Tsunami Relief Operation 2004 Medal
Instituted: 2005Awarded to any member or volunteer of the SAF who has engaged or participated in or provided direct support to the Tsunami Relief Operation between 25 December 2004 and 25 February 2005 (both dates inclusive)
Pingat Jasa Gemilang (Tentera)/The Meritorious Service Medal (Military)
Instituted: 1981The medal may be awarded to any member of the Singapore Armed Forces for exceptionally distinguished service or extraordinary merit in military command or staff work. In special circumstances, the medal may be awarded to any person for outstanding service in the promotion of good relations between the Singapore Armed Forces and the military forces of his/her country. Nominations for the award may be submitted to the Armed Forced Council, which shall process them and make recommendations to the Cabinet for approval.
Pingat Pentadbiran Awam (Tentera) (Emas, Perak, Gangsa) /The Public Administration Medal (Military) (Gold, Silver, Bronze)
Instituted: 1981Awarded in three classes (Gold, Silver, Bronze) to any member of the SAF for meritorious service in military command or staff work.
Pingat Penghargaan (Tentera)/The Commendation Medal (Military)
