This is the highest bravery award and highest in the order of precedence amongst Federal Awards. Given in acts of extreme bravery and valour.

  • Panglima Gagah Angkatan Tentera (PGAT)
Awarded to the Highest Ranking Officers of the Malaysian Army. Also awarded to Chiefs of the Royal Malaysian Navy, Royal Malaysian Air Force and to Foreign Generals, Admirals and Air Marshalls.

  • Panglima Setia Angkatan Tentera (PSAT)
This second highest Armed Forces honorary award given to senior ranking officers of Major General rank or its equivalent, and honorary awards are given to foreign general grade officers.

  • Pahlawan Angkatan Tentera (PAT)
This third highest Malaysian Armed Forces honour award Anugerah is given to officers holding the rank of Colonel or Brigadier General or its equivalent. Honorary awards are also given to foreign officers.

  • Panglima Gagah Berani

This is awarded to serving members of the Armed Forces who has shown extraordinary courage and bravery.

  • Kesatria Angkatan Tentera (KAT)
This 4th highest Malaysian Armed Forces honour award is given to officers of the Armed Forces ranked Lieutenant Colonel or its equivalent. Honorary awards may also be given to foreign officers.

  • Bentara Angkatan Tentera (BAT)
This 5th highest Armed Forces honours award is given to members of the Malaysian Armed Forces. Honorary awards may also be given to members of foreign armed forces.
