Australian Network for Art and Technology (ANAT)
For over two decades ANAT has provided leadership and support to media artists pursuing collaborative and creative projects in Australia and beyond.
ANAT’s innovative programs include immersive residencies, emerging technology labs, professional development grants, online research tools, publications, seminars and workshops.
ANAT is supported by the Australia Council for the Arts and the Australian state and territory governments.
ANAT supports emerging and established artists in the fields of hybrid and media arts, networked and distributed practices, sound and performance to develop new concepts and work. The majority of Australia’s prominent media artists, curators and producers have benefited from ANAT’s innovative programs.
ANAT collaborates with science, industry and arts partners within Australia and internationally to initiate opportunities including immersive residencies, databases and emerging technology labs.

Background
Established in 1988, ANAT has been operating nationally and globally for over two decades delivering initiatives which enable connection, collaboration, research and development, fostering enterprise, sustainability, dialogue and exchange across art, culture, science and technology.ANAT supports emerging and established artists in the fields of hybrid and media arts, networked and distributed practices, sound and performance to develop new concepts and work.
